K-OS: The Love Song
I found this guy just recently. He's so amazing, I'm surprised he's not as well known. K-OS is a Canadian band, and I can only assume they're really big up north.
News: I'm towards the end of my winter vacation, and these 2 weeks have gone by really fast... dang.
This past week I've been out at Grandma Bagwill's again, which means that I didn't have internet so I couldn't post. It's always fun to visit relatives out in Somonauk, and I remembered my video games this time so yay.
Oh, and Happy New Year!

Song of the Day # 8
Massive Attack- Teardrop
You would definitely recognize this song if you watched House (it's the intro music).
News- Sorry for not posting for a while. I don't have much of a excuse since I'm on winter break, and I have more time than I know what to do with. Anyways, Christmas came and went and I got pretty much everything I asked for: Wall-E, Candy, Clothes, and i-Tunes cards.

Song of the Day # 7
John Murphy: In the House - In a Heartbeat
Yet another soundtrack song, maybe I should rename these Movie-songs of the Day. This is from 28 Days Later, in the beginning, when he wakes up and is wandering the streets of a post apocalyptic-type world.
News- Last night, Noah and I went to a free orchestra concert in Chicago. We rode the bus to the train and on the train to downtown. We got there in time for the lecture before the concert, and when we went in, I felt so out of place. Most everyone there had head full of gray, and Noah said he saw a lady talk to another while pointing at us. It was really cold outside and the concert wasn't until 8:00 p.m., so we didn't get back until about 10:30. It was pretty fun to go out by ourselves, and I managed to do some homework on the train and bus.

Song of the Day # 6
Yann Teirsen- La Noyee
You can't go wrong with Yann Teirsen. He did the music for Amelie, probably the most famous French movie out here in the U.S. He's probably my favorite composer and his music is what pushed me to try to learn piano ( I also sort of want to learn accordion just to play one of his songs).
New on the Blog: Bejeweled! I just put it on because then I can play some thing while I'm listening to music. I'm trying to see if there's any other gadgets I can try out, but Bejeweled is so far the best I've found.

A New Look
If, somehow, you haven't noticed, I changed the look of my blog from super boring white to slightly boring blue! The ultimate neutral color! I also now have a playlist of the song-of-the-days located at the bottom of the page! not all of the songs can be on there, because not all of them are on Seeqpod, but it's still pretty sweet! You may also notice the so-small-that-it-barley-counts-as-a-playlist size of the "playlist", but I'm just preparing for later, considering that there's a new song almost everyday.
Song of the Day #5
Chata- Dango Daikazoku
A sweet, simple, feel-good song. Dango is a Japanese food and daikazoku means family. It was used as the ending song for Clannad, an awesome anime (if your into that type of thing). I just love this song, and I was lucky enough to find a download for it on the internet, since it's not on i-Tunes.
-So it has finally snowed this week, and today marked the first shoveling of the winter. I'm just saying that, because I know that Mom, Matt, and Jordan are suffering in a temperature of 64 right now while we enjoy a crisp 19 degrees (yes, that is a cold hint of sarcasm that your sensing).
-Also, I'm going to use Seeqpod for the song-of-the-days from now on, because I think the videos might take attention away from the actual music (unless they have a music video for it). Of course I'll have to use YouTube for original YouTube songs.

Song of the Day # 4
Thomas Newman - Any other name
An amazing song used in a variety of movies and shows. Most famous of those is American Beauty, and I've also heard it on House. As I post more of these song-of-the-days, I realize that they're mostly songs I don't have but really want to get, and in that sense I'm sort of using this blog as a playlist so I don't forget to buy these songs. Dang I'll have to wait for Christmas to get some i-Tunes gift cards.
-This song reminds me, I don't think I posted anything about it before, so I guess I should say that I'm trying to teach myself piano. I've been learning how to play some songs from videos on YouTube, since I can't read music. I would like to learn this song at some point, but it's still out of my league.
